Proudly South African supports #BackToKasi business seminar

Proudly South African will once again lend its support to the Ebonoko Foundation’s #BackToKasi seminar taking place on Thursday, 23 November at Protea South Multipurpose Centre, on the corner of Alikhine and Standon streets in Protea South, Soweto between 09h00 and 15h00.

Part of a series of seminars put together by social entrepreneur Emmanuel Bonoko, the one-day networking and showcasing event aims to equip both established and starting out entrepreneurs to propel their businesses to new heights.

Organisations that will be represented at the #BackToKasi seminar include:
  • Proudly South African
  • Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA)
  • Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)
  • Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP)
  • EnviroSwitch

Entrepreneurs flourish in townships where necessity is the mother of invention,” said Proudly South African CEO Eustace Mashimbye. “Most townships are typified by a lack of facilities and infrastructure with a large proportion of residents being unemployed, and so entrepreneurs come in with very local solutions to local problems,” Mashimbye added.

The details of the event are as follows:
  • Venue: Protea South Multipurpose Hall
  • Address: 3677 cnr Alikhine and Standon Street, Protea South, Soweto
  • Investment fee: R200
  • Contact: or 0817021025
