SAFA LAUNCHES DISKI

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has recently launched its official mascot, called DISKI, in support of Bafana Bafana.

Said to “embody the true spirit” of all soccer-loving South Africans, the football-shaped DISKI has a personality of his own and will travel across the country to welcome football supporters to our country.

SAFA said that “DISKI’s objective is to engage the youth in educational pursuits, as well as displaying the fun nature of football and how loyalty to your team can be rewarding”.

Earlier this year FIFA had launched Zakumi, the official 2010 World Cup mascot which was designed by Proudly South African member, Cora’s Costumes.
