WESTERN CAPE CRAFTERS TO PARTICIPATE IN FRANKFURT TRADE FAIR

The Department of Trade and Industry has identified no less than fourteen Western Cape crafters to participate in one of the world’s largest consumer trade shows – Ambiente - which takes place in Frankfurt, Germany in February 2010.

This achievement is also a compliment to the efforts of the Cape Craft and Design Institute to assist crafters in becoming export-ready by presenting relevant training and market access programmes. Most of the candidates selected to participate in this opportunity have completed these CCDI programmes.

The dti will cover the cost of the exhibition space, branding and other elements associated with exhibiting at Ambiente, while he CCDI will accompany the craft producers and assist them with export support programmes which will allow them to participate in international markets.
