GAUTENG WORKSHOPS TO EMPOWER NGOS TO ACCESS GRANTS

Thanks to an initiative of the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Gauteng will have an opportunity to gain first-hand information on how to go about accessing government funding.

The series of Grant-in-Aid workshops presented by the Department throughout the province during November will serve to inform communities and interested parties about the grant-in-aid process, the documents that need to accompany applications and how to go about lodging an application for a grant-in-aid.  In addition, the workshops will also assist stakeholders on practical elements such as the writing of a project proposal, how to draw up a budget and the writing of financial statements.
