The first mission will visit Egypt from 29 November 2009 to 1 December 2009, and the second is destined for Tunisia from 5 to 9 December 2009.

According to the dti, it has identified Egypt and Tunisia as key strategic partners for South-South co-operation in North Africa. Both countries offer key market opportunities for the South African business community, particularly in the following sectors:

  • Business Process Outsourcing (BPO);
  • Information Communication Technology (ICT);
  • Agro-Processing;
  • Pharmaceuticals; and
  • Tourism, and related sectors, including Construction and Hospitality services.

The dti is arranging the mission and EMIA funding is available for approved participants. Further information and contact details are available on http://www.thedti.gov.za/invitations/business_mission.htm
