LETS SUPPORT THE CLASS OF 2010!

‘Let’s support the class of 2010!’ is a campaign launched by The Department of Basic Education during the 2010 FIFA World cup. The aim is to encourage grade 12 learners, parents, and teachers to work together to support 2010 grade twelve learners as they prepare for their national senior certificate (NSC) examinations.

Since the holidays were prolonged The Department of Education felt that an intervention was needed to assist the class of 2010 to succeed as well as guide them in terms of their career paths. All provinces were running special programmes during the June/July holidays such as winter schools, camps, extra classes and help-lines staffed by subject experts. These classes will continue until the end of Spring holidays as the NSC exams will commence on the 25 October 2010.

As Proud Citizens you are urged to assist where you can. Perhaps you can assist with study material or bursaries. Their future is our future, so let us stand up and be counted in our quest to make this a good country to live in.
