SUPPORT MAD GOLF DAYS AND HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Make a Difference (MAD) Foundation will be expanding its Fundraising Golf Days to seven global events this year in a concerted effort to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

The 2010 MAD Fundraising Golf Days SA and International have been scheduled as follows:

  • MAD KZN, Thursday 6 May at Durban Country Club, Durban;
  • MAD USA, Monday 19 July at Liberty National, New York;
  • MAD Canada, Tuesday 20 July, venue TBC, Toronto;
  • MAD UK, Tuesday 28 September, TBC at Wentworth, Surrey;
  • MAD Gauteng, Wednesday 3 November at Glendower, Johannesburg ;
  • MAD Western Cape, Friday 12 November at Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa, Kleinmond, South Africa.

MAD was founded in 2003 by Francois Pienaar and a close group of friends. The organisation provides exceptional educational and related opportunities for deserving youngsters in South Africa, who may otherwise never have had the opportunity to reach their full potential. MAD seeks to develop these youngsters to become future role models and an inspiration to others, while supporting each other and giving back to their country. MAD’s ultimate aim is to create alumni of MAD beneficiaries who create a force for positive change in South Africa.

Honorary members include David Kirk, Martin Johnson, Nick Farr Jones, John Eales and John Smit. Together the six former World Cup-winning captains have combined their energy off the rugby field to pledge their support for MAD and to make a difference in the lives of the disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
