COSATU Western Cape to protest FIFA events
COSATU is appalled that there is a company that won the tender to make Zakumi that is not committed to South Africa and the important challenge of creating jobs. Proudly SA mobi site live
Proudly SA has added yet another valuable offering to its repertoire of communication tools. The newest initiative – the mobisite – ensures that members can have access to critical information on the Campaign at all times through their mobile handheld device by accessing www.proudlysa.mobi.
Marshall Mcluhan, with reference to the life- and societal changing effects of electric light, coined the well-known phrase – “the medium is the message”. Similarly, Proudly South African is brought to life by its members who espouse the Campaign’s true spirit and set an enviable example as good corporate citizens. At the end of yet another year, the Proudly South African Board, executive team and staff would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation towards all members for their support during 2009. Indeed, members are the Campaign, and with the renewed commitment from our constituencies, including government, the Buy Local campaign is set to fulfill its potential in terms of employment creation and economic growth.
Proudly South African is the “buy local” campaign launched in 2001 by government, organised business, organised labour and community organisations (the constituencies represented in the National Economic Development and Labour Council – Nedlac) to boost job creation and pride in “local” by promoting South African companies and their ‘homegrown’ products and services.
Only registered members of the Proudly South African campaign may use the logo and phrase to identify their company and products. Kindly note that non-members of the campaign, are not authorized to use either the logo or phrase Proudly South African. This is necessary to protect the interest of paying members, the credibility of the Campaign and our intellectual property rights.
